1) More Mystery & Long-Term Storylines
A big complaint among WWE fans is the lack of long-term storylines. It always feels like WWE is writing week-to-week instead of trying to keep fans invested in the long-term.
I know that writing long-term storylines is tough in WWE because things change and injuries occur. While saying that, I still think that WWE could do a better job at writing long-term storylines for their product.
An example is the Kurt Angle-Corey Graves mystery storyline from a few years ago. I thought that WWE did a great job of building up Kurt’s big secret for several weeks and keeping fans guessing. Fans were having fun theorizing what the big reveal could be and what is going to happen. To me, stuff like that keeps fans watching on a week-to-week basis. It gets fans invested and keeps driving interest in the product.
If it was up to me, I would do more mystery and ‘who done it’ storylines. Build up storylines for weeks and keep fans guessing about what will come next. That seems like an easy fix that will help to better engage fans.
