News broke on Monday Night RAW this week that WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia for another event on November 2nd. It will be called ‘WWE Crown Jewel’ and will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The main event of the show has already been confirmed. Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against both Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.
So how did WWE get Brock to come back so soon?
Dave Meltzer provided a few more details about Brock’s return to WWE in an article for MMAFighting. Meltzer says that Brock is still expected to return to the UFC at some point in 2019, where he will be facing Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. While saying that, Brock hasn’t signed a new deal with the UFC just yet.
As for his return to the WWE, Meltzer says that Brock is going to be getting paid a lot of cash. Brock is expected to make well into the seven figures for his match in Saudi Arabia.
While that is a lot of money, WWE was rumored to have brought in around $45 million from Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble event back in April. I think it is safe to say that they can afford Brock’s fee.
Not a bad deal for Lesnar to make over $1 million dollars for one match. Seems like it would be pretty tough to pass up.
