Hideo Itami made his RAW debut this week. Itami came to the aid of Finn Balor, who was being attacked by Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Balor and Itami teamed together to defeat Dallas and Axel in a tag team match.
This was actually a really great callback to Finn Balor’s NXT debut a few years ago. For those who didn’t watch NXT in 2014, let us explain.
On the November 6th, 2014 episode of NXT, Finn Balor came to the aid of Hideo Itami against the Ascension. This was Balor’s NXT Debut. Balor & Itami later defeated the Ascension at NXT Takeover: R Evolution.

Itami aiding Balor on RAW was a fun callback to this moment. Itami paid back Finn for helping him out years ago.
