A story is making the rounds about a former WWE Champion recently meeting with Vince McMahon. This had led to some return speculation.
This has possible WWE return implications for the future so we have marked it as a spoiler. You have been warned!
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Alberto Del Rio was at WWE Headquarters last week. Del Rio was filming some material for an upcoming WWE project on Rey Mysterio. There is a lot more to this story though.
Johnson says that Del Rio also met with Vince McMahon while he was there. Johnson previously reported that there have been some rumblings within WWE about Vince being in favor of bringing back Alberto to the company.
McMahon is said to be very high on Alberto as both a performer and as a character.
This doesn’t mean Del Rio is returning anytime soon but could be an indication for the future.
