As noted prior, Finn Balor had successful surgery on Wednesday to repair his torn labrum. The injury occurred during Summerslam after he was powerbombed in his match against the guard rail by Seth Rollins. He was forced to relinquish his WWE Universal Championship a night later on RAW as it was revealed he needed surgery right away and will be out for several months.
The WWE posted the following update from Dr. Jeffrey Dugas regarding Finn’s recent surgery to repair his torn labrum. The doctor says that it was more severe than normal:
“Finn’s injury was pretty severe, more severe than normal. A really high energy injury, it did more damage than a standard shoulder dislocation where you simply tear the labrum. The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I’m anticipating him getting back at full speed” (Source: WWE.com).
The good news is that he will still make a full recovery!
