Due to all of the health issues that affected the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View, fans saw a much different match card than we originally were expecting. Roman Reigns was replaced by Kurt Angle, while Bray Wyatt was replaced by AJ Styles.
According to Ryan Satin on Wrestling Sheet Radio, Vince McMahon shot down a pitch for a big match at TLC after Bray Wyatt was ruled out of the event.
According to Satin, an idea pitched was for a 4 on 4 match at TLC. Balor would join AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as one of the teams. This would be a reunion of the Bullet Club, where Balor, Styles and Anderson all served as leaders of the group.
It is unclear who the opponents would have been but Satin says that Vince McMahon didn’t have interest in this match and shot it down.
Balor ended up facing off in a singles match against Styles at the event. The closest that we got to a Bullet Club reunion was the ‘Too Sweet’ shared between Balor and Styles after the match.
Would that match have been better than AJ vs Finn?
