Last weeks episode of Monday Night RAW left fans with one heck of a tease. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were together backstage and gave each other a nod. It seems clear that the Shield is reuniting, but why did they drag it out another week?
It looks like there is potentially a fascinating reason for it. Let us explain.
Survivor Series 2012 is known as the event where the Shield made their WWE debuts. They appeared for the first time during the main event between CM Punk, John Cena and Ryback. Survivor Series 2012 was held at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Fast forward to a few years later. Seth Rollins betrayed Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns on the June 2nd, 2014 episode of RAW. The Shield imploded in one of the most memorable moments of the past decade. That happened at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
This weeks episode (October 9th, 2017) of RAW just happens to take place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Are you catching a theme here?
It looks like the Shield could officially reunite in the same building where they first appeared on WWE television and where they broke up. Pretty darn cool planning by WWE here.
