There is an interesting fan theory that has been floating around over the past few days that I wanted to pass your way. This theory has to do with the current storyline involving Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.
This week’s episode of Smackdown ended with a cliffhanger. Bryan told Reigns that they will let him know who his mystery attacker was next week.
Fans have been assuming that the attacker was Daniel Bryan with the help of Rowan. But what if WWE went in another direction?
The fan theory floating around is that Bryan and Rowan will reveal that Luke Harper has been responsible for the recent attacks on Reigns. I can’t take credit for the theory but I wanted to pass along some reasons why I think that this would make a lot of sense.
The first reason is a selfish one on my part. I think that Harper is one of the most talented dudes in all of WWE and it is a shame that he isn’t used more. This would put him in a major storyline with Roman Reigns, which could be fun for a few months.
Another reason is that Harper is the former tag team partner of Rowan. As a result, it would make sense from a storyline standpoint for Harper to join up with Rowan and Bryan. Rowan has tweaked his character since the Bludgeon Brothers disbanded and Harper could do the same. A faction involving Harper, Rowan, and Bryan could be fun for the next while. Also, there was a rumor a few weeks ago that Harper is back on the road with WWE, so maybe they were planning this storyline?
Harper being the real attacker has been suggested by a ton of fans on social media. I think that it could be a fun direction for WWE to go. I would love to see a Luke Harper vs Roman Reigns match on a PPV. It is a match that could steal the show if given the chance.
