Paige was recently suspended 60 days by the WWE for violating the company’s wellness policy. We have seen Paige and her family be very outspoken about the suspension on Social Media in the past couple days. Eric Bischoff on an appearance on 120 Sports, sounds off on Paige and her family for speaking out.
Here is what he said:
“I’m going to give you a disclaimer because I have a lot to say on this subject. Number one, I do not know Paige. I’ve never met her. I don’t know Alberto Del Rio. I don’t know anything about the facts surrounding her case and her wellness violation and suspension. That being said, I know like everybody else what I’ve read and what I’ve heard. My first reaction is that it’s just effing stupid. It really disappoints me and saddens me is probably the better way to say it. Regardless of Paige’s argument and her family’s argument which I think is like double down stupid. You know, getting your parents involved on Twitter doesn’t make a great deal of sense. When Paige entered in to that agreement with WWE she knew what the rules were”(Source: 120 Sports).

Bischoff continued, explaining that performing in WWE at the highest is something that only a small percent of people are able to do. To try to bend the rules isn’t a good decision:
“To blow it by consciously trying to circumvent an existing drug policy or wellness policy that you previously knew about? I’m sorry, it goes in to the category of shear stupid. I feel bad for Paige. When you are young you think all that success is going to last forever. You think that audience is going to be there and be cheering for you and supporting you and you are going to have that relationship with that audience forever. I’ve got news for you, it can end in a moments notice” (Source: 120 Sports).

she needs to grown up. WWE loses a big star by releasing her. they’ve made an investment in her, they don’t want her to go, but her attitude and relationship w/ ADR is costing her her job. of course ADR is complicit, he gains nothing by her going back to WWE… it probably costs him the relationship bcus she will be on the road away from him and around other people who will get in her ear and she’ll be around other dudes.
but she is obviously a troubled young lady. I suspect she has several psychological/trust/relationship issues that need to be addressed. granted, total divas is a produced TV show… but if anything in that show rings true to her life… then she needs some serious therapy. I surprised that WWE allows this to be portrayed knowing how obvious it is that she needs to speak to someone. again, granted, paige signed off on it, but WWE should have stepped in and not allowed a lot of things from that show to air consider she works for them and how she can be portrayed from her actions form the show.
in one sense they’re asking her to be a role model, then showing her damaged side to an audience for them to critique.
