Goldberg returned to WWE for the first time in 12 years. Goldberg appeared in the main event of RAW. The crowd chanted “GOLDBERG….. GOLDBERG……GOLDBERG” like it was 1998. The response from the crowd even surprised Goldberg himself as you could see him getting a bit choked up.
Eric Bischoff, who has a lot of history with Goldberg, took to his podcast to praise the emotional return.
Here is what he said:
“I have two words for Bill Goldberg, “Thank You.” Thank you for bringing the passion, the credibility, the believability and just the, no pun intended, raw emotion that I think people have missed for a long time. That’s one of the things about Bill Goldberg is that he is a very raw, real, emotional, intense person. There’s no acting going on there. That’s really who he is. He continued:
“For Bill to go out there and get the reaction that he got and bring the emotion. You saw the tears. You saw his eyes well up. It was just such a refreshing thing to see and I am just happy for Bill. Isnt this the same guy who said Goldberg shouldn’t of returned in the first place? Now’s he’s riding the wave?
Theres a lot of Raw(no pun intended) emotion in todays wrestling. The KO vs. Sami Zayn fued was raw emotion and everytime Sasha Banks won the title was raw emotion.
