Emma Injury Update – Requires Surgery

As we reported before, Emma sustained a back injury during this weekends live events. It was unclear how serious the injury was until now. The WWE is reporting that Emma has a ruptured disk in her back that will require surgery. They do not know how long it will take to heal yet.

Here is what the WWE reported about the Emma Injury on WWE.com:

“WWE.com has learned that Emma suffered an injury during a WWE Live Event and will need to undergo surgery in order to correct the problem. Emma has a ruptured disc that will require her to have surgery,” explained WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson. “She came to us in a great deal of pain, which seemed to be increasing. She was then given an M.R.I., which revealed that further action would need to be taken. Unfortunately, the Superstar’s estimated recovery time cannot be determined until after her procedure is complete” (Source: WWE.com).

We originally thought that the Emma injury might not be that serious and they would keep her on WWE TV as she healed. With the news of her requiring surgery, that becomes much less likely. Emma was in a feud with Becky Lynch but it is likely that gets taken over by her partner in crime Dana Brooke.

It is too early to tell how long she will be out for. Anytime surgery is involved we usually expect it to be at least over a month of recovery time. We will update you guys when we get an update on her surgery. That will tell us exactly how long we should expect her to miss!

Hate seeing anyone get injured and we here at IWNerd.com wish her a speedy recovery. If you have any medical knowledge regarding ruptured discs, let us know! Let us know what you think in the comment section!
