Drew McIntyre was injured during his match against Andrade Almas at NXT Takeover: WarGames. It was revealed after the event that McIntyre had suffered a torn bicep and he later had surgery to fix the issue.
We have an update on his return.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that McIntyre has been spotted working out at the WWE Performance Center over the past few days. This indicates that he is coming close to a return.
Johnson says that he was told a few months ago that the timeline for McIntyre’s return was set for April. The goal would be returning for Wrestlemania weekend. He looks to be on pace to achieve that goal.
No word yet on what the plans will be when he officially returns. We will let you know when we hear anything more. Great news that he is close to being back though.
