Drew McIntyre lost the NXT Championship to Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas at NXT Takeover: WarGames. After the match, McIntyre was checked on by the doctor at ringside and looked to be in some pain.
There was some worry after the match that McIntyre could have suffered a serious injury. Looks like that might have been the case.
During Triple H’s post-Takeover interview with Cathy Kelley, he said that McIntyre might have torn his bicep.
Triple H said that McIntyre will likely require surgery. He will be getting an MRI soon to assess the injury fully but it sounds like bad news.
Former WWE star Taz tweeted this after the match,:
I dont normally do this on here but i just watch the #NXTTakeOver Championship match, looked to me like @DMcIntyreWWE might’ve torn his bicep on the finish as he held the rope. Could separation in base of his Bicep. Been there, it sucks for Drew. head up brother.
