Former Impact Wrestling star DJZ recently signed with WWE. It was noted this week that WWE had changed his name to “Joaquin Wilde”.
He ended up taking to social media to reveal that it was he who picked the name. He also explained the meaning behind it.
Here is what he wrote on Twitter:
I had an uncle named Joaquin. He LOVED pro wrestling, always wanted to be a wrestler but those opportunities didn’t exist in the Philippines. I chose this name because by living my dream, I’m also living his dream. And WILD(E) is the perfect word to describe the way I wrestle!
