Ric Flair 30 for 30 Details!!!
An article came out from Sports Illustrated this week that gives us some more information on the Ric Flair 30 for 30 that is being made. If you aren’t familiar with the 30 for 30 series, they are a number of sports documentaries by ESPN from some of the best filmmakers in the world focusing on amazing sports stories. Here were some details we learned so far:
- Directed by Rory Karpf. He is known for previous 30 for 30’s such as ‘The Book of Manning’ and ‘I Hate Christian Laettner’ which were both fantastic.
- It will run either 90 or 120 minutes.
- They are currently in the editing stage of the documentary.
- Flair’s children (including Charlotte) will provide detailed interviews for the documentary.
- Sting, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Ricky Steamboat, Mick Foley, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Eric Bischoff and Jim Ross are confirmed to appear.
- WWE has apparently been very supportive of the documentary, allowing them to use footage.
- Director says Ric Flair was very open about any topic they asked him.
- Will be out within the next 12 months.
Really looking forward to this! As a big fan of the 30 for 30 documentary series, this should be fantastic. Really interested in seeing what Flair’s family has to say along with all the heavy hitters being interviewed. Flair has lived an incredible life and lived through plenty of ups and downs. I am really excited to learn more about him. We will let you guys know if we hear any more about the potential release date of the film!
