Stephanie McMahon was recently a guest on Ad Age Remote. During this, she spoke on a wide variety of topics.
Stephanie ended up revealing an interesting tidbit about the original plans for The Undertaker’s entrance at Wrestlemania 36. This was prior to the event being moved from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.
Stephanie says that Metallica was originally going to play live at Wrestlemania for The Undertaker’s entrance. Here is what she said (h/t to Fightful for the quote below):
“We’ve experimented with cinematic matches. The Boneyard match was like a 20-minute movie sequence and it was cut to Metallica because Metallica was going to be apart of WrestleMania, their music was going to be apart of Undertaker’s entrance. When everything changed, they said ‘we still want to be apart of this if we can, we’re not backing out.’ We were very grateful to Metallica for helping score the entire sequence,”
