Details On The Major Contracts That The Young Bucks Rejected From WWE

The Young Bucks were recently announced as the Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The duo will also serve as talents for the new promotion.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), the Bucks turned down some major offers from WWE.

According to Meltzer, Triple H worked very hard to get the Bucks and the rest of the ELITE into WWE. This includes around 12 hours of talks between both sides.

The offer to the Young Bucks reportedly included ‘Being The Elite’ becoming a weekly show on the WWE Network. Meltzer says that the Bucks were also offered similar money to what AJ Styles is making.

They were also reportedly offered a pretty interesting clause in their contract from WWE. According to Meltzer, the contract stated that they could leave the company after 6 months (out of their 3-year deals) if they were unhappy with their push in WWE. This is something that has never been offered before in the past.

My Take: If that offer is completely accurate, holy crap. It is safe to say that WWE really wanted them. That contract clause would be interesting and I have to wonder if we could see any future big signings get that. We will have to wait and see.
