Dean Ambrose was recently interviewed by herald-dispatch.com in order to promote WWE’s upcoming live event at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia. Ambrose spoke on a wide variety of topics to promote the event where he will team up with Seth Rollins to take on Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
During the interview, Ambroses’ nickname on WWE television was brought up. As fans know, he is constantly referred to as “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose.
So how does Ambrose feel about the name? Here is what he said in the interview about being referred to as a ‘Lunatic’ or ‘unhinged’:
“I feel like I’m a pretty sensible individual. I don’t feel unhinged. It is what it is. Michael Cole said it on TV enough times it clicked. I’m used to it. You know you get labels put on. In the ring, I don’t care. I fly by the seat of my pants, do whatever I feel like doing. Don’t worry about the consequences.”
He also spoke about his love for wrestling WWE live events:
“I live for house shows. You go out there for the audience, and it’s just them for one night. The freedom you have, the intimacy between the audience and us is different.”
