It was announced this week that Dean Ambrose was injured and would be having surgery on his elbow. In an update from WWE, it was announced that Dean had torn about 50 percent of the triceps tendon away from the bone. They did not provide an update on how long he would be out of action for.
We finally have some insight into when Dean Ambrose could return to WWE.
Dean Ambrose Return Update
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Dean has been working with the injury for the past few months. WWE finally felt like it was time to get the injury taken care of.
Johnson says that WWE hopes that Ambrose will be back in 2 to 3 months. This isn’t set in stone, but this is what the company is hopeful for.
The good news is that if Dean does in fact return within this timeframe, he will be able to make Wrestlemania 34. A full tear would have likely kept him out of action for 6 months, so this is certainly good news.

im sure he will but then you gotta think, what does that mean for his match? Its gonna be hard to set up something serious since he cant compete right now unless its a tag match (where seth could help set it up for him). Other than that, I see him in the battle royal.
