Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has received a statement from the New Orleans Police Department about the incident. Smith is wanted by the police for battery. Here is a statement from the Police department:
“The NOPD is investigating a simple battery incident that occurred on April 7, 2018 in the 500 block of Canal Street. The victim told police that at about 11 a.m., he was signing autographs at the location when he was approached by a known subject, later identified as Harry Smith (DOB: 08-02-1985). The victim told police he attempted to shake hands with Smith, at which time a verbal argument ensued. Smith then allegedly threw a cup of coffee at the victim’s face and fled the scene. No major injuries were reported by the victim”
WrestleZone interviewed Smith about the incident a few weeks ago. He claims that it was because of Roberts disrespecting his father, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith in the past:
“According to Harry, Roberts refused to apologize to him for disparaging comments he had made about his father “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith in various podcast appearances. When Harry went to confront Roberts at his WrestleCon table about it Roberts declined the conversation. Once Roberts declined to talk it out Harry then asked him Roberts to step outside and settle their issues with a fight. At that point Roberts began to swear and told Harry to, “F*ck off. Harry then threw the cup of coffee in Roberts face. Harry claims Roberts daughter then tried to fight him and says that, “Jake and his daughter were acting inappropriate and wanted to start a scene”
