Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from the WWE back in February. It was an emotional time for wrestling fans as it seemed like Bryan had so much more to give before it was taken away from him. It hit no one harder than Daniel Bryan himself, who in a recent interview, talks about not fully coming to terms with his retirement. Below are the highlights.
Bryan says he still hasn’t fully come to terms with his career being over:
“It’s interesting because I guess the real answer is no, but it’s weird. I don’t necessarily agree that there’s something wrong with me, right. The whole issue with concussions is so subjective” (Source: Recorder.ca).
He says that being around wrestling [As Smackdown LIVE GM] has been tough on him:
“It’s this heart-wrenching thing. It’s tough because we all get just this one life, right? And when you find something that you love as much as I love wrestling and then they tell you that you can’t do it anymore, it becomes really, really tough. And then it becomes really, really tough when now you’re around it every week. It’s just seeing your friends be able to go out there and do it and then you still can’t do it. It’s one of those things. I guess I kind of accept it, but I have a certain amount of melancholy with it”(Source: Recorder.ca).

Sad to hear. These comments are kind of giving me the feeling that he could compete for another company somewhere down the road. He clearly still loves professional wrestling and doesn’t think there is necessarily anything wrong with him.
Let us know what you think of his comments below!
I think once his seizures became public knowledge, I believe that’s when WWE called it a career for bryan.
