Daniel Bryan’s first feud after coming back from retirement was with Big Cass. Bryan and Cass faced off at both the Backlash and Money in the Bank PPV events. Bryan won both of these matches.
Cass was suddenly released by WWE a few days after their match at Money in the Bank. This came as a pretty big surprise, considering that Cass was just feuding with a big name like Bryan.
Bryan was recently interviewed by Sky Sports, where he spoke on how he felt about working with Cass.
Here is what he said:
“I really liked working with Big Cass. I thought that he progressed a lot in the time that we were working together. I honestly wish him the best of luck.
I like him a lot as a person and as a wrestler so I hope he does really well.”
Cass’ non-compete clause will expire in late September. He will be free after this to work wherever he pleases.
On a related note, here is Cass’ new name for the independent scene.
