Daniel Bryan was recently a guest on ESPN’s Sportscenter hosted by former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman. During the interview he spoke on a wide variety of topics including the recent situation that happened with the Miz on ‘Talking Smack’. As you can see from the video above, the Miz was not happy with Daniel Bryan calling him a ‘coward’, it escalated to Daniel Bryan walking off set.
Daniel was initially asked how much was scripted:
“Very little, I just knew that we were going to banter back and forth. Miz and I have known each other for a long time and we really know how to get at each other’s nerves. I brought up the idea that he wrestles like a coward and he knows I don’t like the way he wrestles. Right, I just don’t like it, it’s not my thing and I called him out on that. And than he called me out on something that is very personal to me. He talked when I was dealing with my concussion stuff and I was trying to come back, I would do interviews like this and people would say ‘are you coming back’ and I would say yes, I am coming back for sure I am coming back. And he called me out on that, that I didn’t come back. You know, he also knows that I am constantly having these feelings of hey, If the WWE won’t let me wrestle, I will leave and go to the independents because I love wrestling so much and I know that is probably not a smart idea. My wife keeps me in check with that. He knows that is really pushing on a nerve and calling me a coward for not doing it, which I kind of think of myself of a coward for not doing it, its tough. Part of me just wanted to punch him in the face [laughs], but that probably wasn’t such a smart idea on live TV, but Its WWE so you can kind of get away with it, maybe? Like they wouldn’t know if… Oh did he legit just punch him in the face or was that a WWE punch?” (Source: ESPN).

He also mentions that him and Miz will be kept away from each other for a while on WWE TV to avoid conflict. He doesn’t like his wrestling style but he respects how hard of a worker the Miz is.
