Kurt Angle made his return to the ring at WWE’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs event. This was the first time that Angle has wrestled (for WWE) in the past 11 years. It was a question if WWE would ever clear Angle to wrestle again due to his previous health issues. As we know now, WWE ended up pulling the trigger.
Someone who is in a similar position to Angle is Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan.
Bryan has been adamant about wanting to return to the ring since retiring from WWE in 2016. Bryan took to Twitter to comment on Angle wrestling at TLC:
There was a time when WWE wouldn’t let @RealKurtAngle compete. Tonight he won a PPV main event in a TLC match ??? #SoYourSayingTheresAChance

Something tells me that Daniel isn’t going to give up on this anytime soon.

In about a year, he’ll have WWE over a barrel. Do they risk letting him walk after they’ve invested so much in him? Or do they sign him and allow him to wrestle on a limited basis – PPV, special occasions?
