You might have heard the rumors going around about WWE potentially bringing in Conor McGregor for Wrestlemania 34. Conor is one of the biggest stars in the world right now and this excited a lot of wrestling fans that also enjoy Mixed Martial Arts.
Unfortunately, it looks like nothing will be coming of these rumors. Dana White recently shot them down during an interview with FOX 5. He did reveal some text messages from Vince McMahon himsel.
Rosanna Scotto of Good Day New York got Dana to show some of his texts to her from Vince to prove it. Here was Vince’s text back after Dana asked him about the rumors of McGregor at Wrestlemania:
“News to me”.
Vince later would say to Dana via text that the door is open in the future:
“It might be good someday but not now”
Looks like we can put the rumors to bed for now. It is too bad since a McGregor appearance at Wrestlemania would add a ton of buzz because of how popular he is. Love him or hate him, viewers would tune in to see what happens.
