CM Punk lost at UFC 203 to Mickey Gall this past week. Punk was overmatched and was able to do very little before tapping out halfway through the first round to a rear naked choke. Punk looked battered, bruised and demoralized after the fight. I think his UFC 203 payday might make him feel a bit better.
According to the Ohio State Athletic commission, Punk made $500,000 for his loss at UFC 203.
CM Punk made a flat $500,000 to show at UFC 203. Wouldn’t have gotten a win bonus, per Ohio commission.

His opponent made 30,000 (15k to win, 15k to show). There is also speculation that Punk has PPV points, meaning he gets a small cut of the PPV buys that this event does. This would bring his earnings for this fight to well over 1 million dollars.

According to MMA analyst: Marc Raimondi, UFC 203 will be the top selling PPV without Conor McGregor, Brock Lesnar or Ronda Rousey on the card. This means that even though Punk was defeated in relatively quick fashion and doesn’t belong in the UFC, he is a massive draw:
UFC 203 will likely have the most PPV buys by a card w/o McGregor, Rousey or Lesnar since UFC 183. Maybe since UFC 182.

Maybe we will see him fight again.
