There have been some rumors floating around that there could be three Money in the Bank ladder matches this year. We want to clear up that this is NOT something that is confirmed.
The rumor began with a local advertisement that showed three briefcases. One was red, one was blue and the other was the white-colored Women’s briefcase. Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that if a third does happen, it will be a tag team one. Here is a quote from him (via Ringside News):
“You know they’re going to do a men’s, they’re going to do a women’s, they may do a tag. If there is a third one that’s what it’s going to be.”
The important thing to remember here is that it was only speculation and not confirmed that WWE will be doing a third. I have seen several places say that it is happening for sure but they may be jumping the gun. It very well could happen but it is important to take with a grain of salt for now.
