On the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, Bubba Ray Dudley spoke about Luke Harper. Specifically, he spoke about why Harper has fallen through the cracks in WWE.
During this discussion, Bubba shared how the WWE locker room feels about Luke Harper. He also gave his thoughts on why Harper isn’t used more on WWE television.
Here is what Bubba said (h/t to Wrestlezone for the quote below):
“I think Luke Harper might not just be on Vince McMahon’s radar. It’s the only thing it could possibly be. He’s one of those guys that when you see your name next to his on the line-up, you go, ‘This is gonna be great.’ Because he was fun to work with, he understood, he took care of everybody. He was snug, but not stiff. If you polled the entire locker room everyone would tell you they enjoyed working with Luke Harper. That’s not to say they didn’t enjoy working with Rowan or Wyatt, or Braun, but Luke was widely loved as a guy backstage and in the ring.
“When I see somebody fall out of grace with the WWE and all the things add up to a positive, it’s gotta be one thing: he just fell out of favor with Vince. It doesn’t even mean that he fell out of favor with creative, creative could be pushing for him, but at the end of the day Vince might be saying no. Me and D-Von were brought in for three reasons: Work with the New Day, work wit the Wyatt Family, work with the Usos. I worked with Harper, Rowan, Bray, and Braun. All of those guys in their own right were really good, but Harper was the standout worker. Bray was awesome and is the total package, but everybody loved working with Harper.”
