3) The Puppets Represent WWE Stars
Something that I could see happening is Bray Wyatt’s puppets from the vignettes actually being WWE stars. These WWE stars would make up a new faction that will be led by Bray moving forward.
I have posted a fan theory from before about Nikki Cross potentially being ‘Sister Abigail’. She has not yet been assigned to a brand and could be a great fit alongside Bray. She would represent the ‘Abby’ doll that was shown during the segment.
I have also seen some fans suggest that the buzzard puppet could represent someone like Eric Young.
In this scenario, Bray would lead a new and creepy faction on Monday Night RAW. Bray Wyatt, Nikki Cross, and Eric Young could be an interesting trio moving forward.
2) Bray Is A New Version Of ‘Waylon Mercy’
Something that I definitely think could happen is Bray portraying an updated version of the ‘Waylon Mercy’ character. For those who don’t know, ‘Waylon Mercy’ was a character on WWE television back around 1995.
Waylon Mercy was portrayed as a peaceful southern gentleman outside of the ring. This would include shaking his opponent’s hand before the match. After the bell rang, he would snap and become vicious to his opponents.
The promos/ vignettes of the character were interesting as well. He would be calm but sinister, which definitely reminded me of Bray from the vignette. The Waylon Mercy character never really lived up to its potential due to injuries.
During the sketch, Bray’s buzzard was named ‘Mercy’, which seems to be a major nod to the Waylon Mercy gimmick from the past. This could be a rebirth of the character or it could be an altered version.
