As noted prior, Braun Strowman was written off WWE television this week following an attack from Roman Reigns on his injured arm. In reality, a report dropped after RAW that confirmed Strowman suffered a legitimate injury to his elbow.
Initial reports suggest that Strowman will be out anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks (depending on how bad the injury is).
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Braun’s injury has forced WWE creative to change-up their plans big time for the next few months.
Strowman was originally scheduled to face off against Roman Reigns at the upcoming Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View. This would have been the third and final match of their feud. As a result of the injury to Strowman, this leaves Reigns without an opponent for Extreme Rules.
Also, Strowman was penciled in to face Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire in July for the WWE Universal Championship. The direction of Lesnar now remains unclear moving forward.
Interesting to note that the Miz and Dean Ambrose were also originally going to face off at Extreme Rules but WWE decided to feature the match next week on RAW instead. This is only speculation from us but could Strowman’s injury mean that the Miz or Ambrose is needed in a feud elsewhere?

WWE certainly has some interesting decisions to make over the next few weeks and this injury has thrown a monkey wrench into everything. We will have to wait until this upcoming week on RAW to see what they decide to do.
