Brad Maddox Comments On Randy Orton Threatening People Backstage

Brad Maddox took a couple beatings at the hands of Randy Orton like seen in the video above.

Randy Orton has the reputation of having a bit of a hotheaded personality. In a recent interview with the Pankcakes and Powerslams show hosted by blogtalkradio.com, former WWE talent Brad Maddox told a story about Randy Orton threatening people backstage. Maddox worked in the WWE starting in 2010 until he was released last year. He even has been on the receiving end from a beating from Orton during a WWE storyline.

Here is what Maddox said about Randy’s backstage antics.

“Randy [Orton] would get angry at something in a match. I remember a few instances when I was a referee, so I was in [the Gorilla Position] a lot of the time. A few times he would say things or threaten other guys, like right there in Gorilla, and I would be standing there with my eyes wide open, not believing that he is saying this in front of all the producers and in the same room with Vince. I was kind of amazed by that” (Pancakes and Powerslams: Episode 218).

Interesting take and perspective from Maddox. I would like to note that Maddox was fired by the WWE and this is only his side of the story.

Randy is set to return in the next couple weeks (hopefully) from injury after being out for several months now. It will be interesting to see where the WWE inserts him storyline wise.

  1. Wrestlers have a rough life on the road, they should all attempt to stick together. Aside from that, Orton has accomplished a lot in his career. No need for him to be a jackass or a bully behind the scenes towards other wrestlers. I wish nothing good of him when he returns.
