We have decided to put together a collection of our bold Hell in a Cell 2018 predictions. These are specific things that we think will happen at the event.
9) The RAW Tag Team Championship Match Will Be The First Match Of The PPV (Main Card):
I am going to predict that the RAW Tag Team Championship match will open the main card as the first match. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre will be defending against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
I think that this match will open the show for two reasons. The first is that WWE usually likes to start off their PPV cards with a strong match. This would fit the bill as this has a chance (in my opinion) to be one of the best matches of the night. Should be a fun tag team match to kick off the show.
As for the second reason, I think that all four of these guys will end up involved in the main event (as I will explain later). As a result, I think it makes sense to put this match early on in the card.
8) Brie Bella Will Make Maryse Tap Out
The Hell in a Cell PPV event will feature a Mixed Tag Team match. Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella will take on the Miz and Maryse. While I think Daniel and Brie will be the favorites heading into the match, I wanted to make a specific prediction on how I think it will end.
I am predicting that neither Daniel Bryan or the Miz will be taking the loss here. With their long-term feud, it seems like this is a spot where WWE can avoid having either of them pin the other (saving that for their singles matches). As a result, that leaves us with Brie or Maryse.
Since Brie is going to be wrestling at the WWE Super Show-Down event, I am going to pick her to win. Specifically, I am going to guess that we will see Maryse tap out to the ‘Yes Lock’ to end the match.
7) Rusev Day Will Win The Tag Team Titles
Rusev Day will challenge the New Day for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Hell in a Cell. This comes after Rusev and Aiden English won the mini-tournament on Smackdown over the past few weeks.
The New Day just won the Tag Team Titles and conventional wisdom would suggest that they won’t drop them so soon. Still though, I have a gut feeling that Rusev Day will be walking out as Champions.
I don’t think it would necessarily hurt the New Day to lose the belts so quickly. WWE’s hand was essentially forced anyways since the Bludgeon Brothers were injured. I am predicting that it will be a happy Rusev Day.
