Below are some of our bold predictions for the WWE Evolution PPV event. Here is what we think will happen on the show.
9) Stephanie McMahon Will Unveil Women’s Tag Team Titles At The Start Of The Show
You better believe that Stephanie McMahon is going to be involved in some way at the WWE Evolution PPV event. Since we know that she more-than-likely isn’t wrestling, my guess is that she still will be involved in a big moment.
I think that Stephanie is going to unveil Women’s Tag Team Championships at the start of the show. This is something that WWE fans have been asking for over the past year. I think it finally happens at Evolution.
This unveiling will be similar to what WWE did at Wrestlemania 32 with the Women’s Championship. For those who missed it, Lita unveiled the new Championship on the kickoff show and it was a nice surprise. I think WWE will be doing the same with Women’s Tag Team Championships.
8) Stephanie McMahon Will Announce That The Semi-Finals And Final Will Take Place Later In The Show
If you look at the current card for Evolution, you have probably noticed that there are not that many matches confirmed for the event. As of writing this, there are only 8 matches that will be happening.
I think the reason for the lack of matches is that Stephanie McMahon is going to be announcing 3 matches to determine the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions. That would be two semi-finals matches and the final later on in the show.
That would put us at around 10-11 matches total for the event, which would be normal for a WWE PPV event.
7) The 6-Woman Tag Team Match Will Get Scrapped
Here is a bold prediction for you, I don’t think that the 6-woman tag team match will end up happening. As it stands, The Riott Squad is scheduled to face Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Natalya. I have a gut feeling that this match is going to get scrapped.
So why would WWE announce it if it isn’t going to happen? I think this match is just a placeholder for the card. If WWE really is giving us Women’s tag team titles, they are likely saving the surprise for Evolution itself. As a result, I feel like they just announced this 6-woman tag team match as a way to conceal the surprise.
It makes zero sense to me that WWE would do the Riott Squad vs Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya on this card. Why wouldn’t WWE toss in a legend or two on each side to spice things up? This is something that you would see on an episode of RAW, not at the first all-women’s PPV event.
My gut says that this match will be scrapped. Sasha and Bayley, The Riott Squad, and Natalya (with a partner) will be involved in the Women’s tag team title stuff.

I think a lot of these scenarios could happen. My boldest prediction has been that the four horsewomen of MMA will attack during the Becky/Charlotte match and it would become a story point to have Becky put her differences with Charlotte behind to help her friends.
For example, it’s a last woman standing match. So it’s no DQ. Run-ins are almost a given here. I’m thinking Shayna and the other two come out and go 3 on 1 against Charlotte. Sasha and Bayley even the odds while Becky crawls away. The three on three goes for a bit while the camera watches Becky clutch her title on the stage. Ronda’s music hits and she blows by Becky to help her friends. Camera cuts to now 4 on 3 before returning to Becky who looks back at the curtain, maybe even takes a step or turns her back to the ring, but stops… drops her title and runs into the fray. I think the night ends with a massive brawl and Paige or Stephanie sends all of these 50 women to get involved and break up the fight.
*For what it’s worth, I think the fourth team in the women’s title tournament could be Shafir and Duke. They could beat Sasha and Bayley but I doubt it. They could lose to Sasha and Bayley and then interfere in their match against Riott Squad in the finals. This scenario is assuming they go with a full night story rather than shock value at the end of the night.
