Dio Maddin hasn’t been on the RAW commentary team in several weeks. This comes after he was attacked by Brock Lesnar last month. In Dio’s place, Samoa Joe has been filling in alongside Vic Joseph and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler.
We have a big update to pass your way about the future of the RAW commentary team.
According to Ryan Satin on this week’s episode of ‘WWE Backstage’, Dio Maddin has decided that he wants to return to the ring. He is officially heading back to the WWE Performance Center to train to be a wrestler. That means he is now off the RAW commentary team for good.
In his place, Satin revealed that Samoa Joe will remain on the RAW commentary team. This won’t be a permanent move though as it will only be until Joe has been cleared from his hand injury.
It is unclear who will take Joe’s spot when he is cleared to return.
We will let you know if we hear anything more. Definitely an interesting move by WWE.
