A few months ago, Luke Harper was officially released by WWE. This came after he had publically made it known that he wanted out of the company.
We have a big update to pass your way about Harper’s future after WWE. A spoiler warning applies to the rest of this post.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Harper is expected to sign with AEW.
Harper is expected to debut for AEW on March 18th. This will be the Dynamite episode that is taking place in his hometown of Rochester. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Jonathan Huber (Luke Harper), 40, is expected to sign here and debut on 3/18 in Rochester, NY, which is his home town. He’s expected to use his old ring name, Brodie Lee. He could legally start as early as 2/12 but it’s for the best to debut him in Rochester where it’s guaranteed to get a big reaction.”
For all of you that wanted Harper to go to AEW after his WWE departure, it looks like you have gotten your wish.
