8) Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker vs. The Rock – Vengeance 2002
One of my favorite matches as a kid was the triple threat between the Undertaker, the Rock and Kurt Angle for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
This is a match that is considered by some as in the conversation for best Triple Threat matches of all time. There is a ton of action in this match and entertaining moments. Three future WWE Hall of Famer’s putting on a great match together.
The Rock ended up winning the match and the championship by pinning Angle. Regardless, it was a fantastic match by all three and if you like non-stop action it is a good match to watch. Many fans would agree that it deserves a mention while talking about the best matches in Angle’s career.
7) Kurt Angle vs Shane McMahon – King of the Ring 2001
One of the most memorable matches of Kurt Angle’s WWE career was when he took on Shane McMahon in a street fight.
This was the 3rd match of the night for Kurt Angle. He defeated Christian in a semi-finals match in the King of the Ring tournament. He lost to Edge in the finals after Shane McMahon interfered. As a result, Kurt vs Shane was made for later in the night, in a street fight.
The match isn’t remembered for its technical display, it is known for all the crazy moments that happened. Angle tried to belly to belly Shane through a panel of glass, but it didn’t break! This saw Shane land on his neck. He somehow didn’t break his neck and Angle tossed him through a second time, this time successfully breaking the glass:
This certainly deserves a spot on this list and I think many fans would agree. Still unsure how Shane didn’t break his neck on that landing. Angle would go on to win the match with an ‘Angle Slam’ from the top rope. Certainly one of the most memorable matches in the career of Kurt Angle.
