Ever since Eva Marie made her WWE debut back in 2013, she has been a popular topic of conversation. Many fans criticize her for not being able to wrestle and only being in the spot she is because of her looks. In a recent interview with Channel Guide Magazine, Becky Lynch spoke on a wide variety of topics. During the interview she came to the defense of Eva Marie.
Here is what she said:
“Eva Marie is so hard-working. Yes, she is new. She gets so much flack from fans for being this gorgeous woman who, apparently, they say can’t wrestle, but she puts in the hard work. I love working with talent like that. It’s a challenge for me, but I feel it’s a great spot for me to be in because I can be a leader. I really enjoy that. I remember when I was coming in and having someone to keep you calm and help you through helps. Then you build this confidence. It does help because maybe they don’t have that confidence at first, and you are able to bring them through to a good match. Then they come back, and they are so excited. I absolutely love that” (Source: Channel Guide Magazine).

I know a lot of fans love to hate Eva Marie. She has been improving though and hopefully she continues to get better as Smackdown LIVE needs all the firepower they can get. Hard to dislike Becky Lynch, seems like a genuine person. She is the leader (along with Natalya) of that locker room of the females and they have an opportunity to teach a lot of young talent!

Eva Marie hasnt even made her official WWE wrestling debut yet, how can she not wrestle if she hasnt even had 1 match yet.
well, because she wrestled on the main roster prior to her (albeit brief) run in NXT. she was horrible then, but she has clearly made strides in her wrestling. is she great today? of course not. she is still very green… but not baby sh%# green as she once was.
I defended her then, as I do now. and now she is starting to show some promise as a character and little by little in the ring. as long as she progresses, there is a spot for someone like her because she is unique.
I dont even know what “green” means. Im just gonna assume it means “lack of experience”. I, along with many other WWE Raw/SD, dont watch NXT so I cant judge her on her past work.

She’s willing to take bumps, seeing as she is a wrestler, so i give her credit for that. I couldn’t imagine jumping up and landing straight on my back. Fuck that, not for me. But I am a fan of all WWE wrestlers who do. Props to Eva Marie and her fine self.
Typical of the IWC. If a woman is hot, they hate her. If she didn’t come from the indies, they hate her.

They don’t hate her because she is hot, they hate her because that is the ONLY reason why WWE keep pushing her, because of her looks. She’s greener than grass in the ring, and would not be employed by WWE if it wasn’t for her good looks, and her involvement in Total Divas, that’s it. I wouldn’t say I hate her, but I am certainly not a fan.

Or you know, Eva literally can’t wrestle and was hired and initially put on the main roster before she was even trained. She isn’t that hot either. Tons of plastic surgery. Lana is 20x hotter and pretty popular with everyone.

i like and respect becky and i understand she knows how hard this is and she sees eva behind the scenes but eva can’t wrestle. and she was hired for her looks. and yes eva can get better (hell the bellas improved leaps and bounds and trish was pretty good despite being just a model at first) they should keep training her but just keep her out of the ring for now.
