WWE announced the releases of four Superstars from their roster on Sunday. That included Luke Harper, Sin Cara, and both members of The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor).
Harper and Sin Cara had both publically announced that they had asked for their releases from the company. It is unclear if The Ascension asked for their releases but if they did, they did not make it public.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, WWE has confirmed to him that they will all have non-compete clauses to abide by.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
WWE has confirmed that all four will have 90-day non-compete clauses. Those non-compete clauses will expire on March 8th.
This means that they all can’t wrestle for another promotion until March 8th. So, if you were hyped for Luke Harper to jump right to AEW or NJPW, you are going to have to wait a few months.
We will let you know if we hear any rumblings about where they are all heading after these non-compete clauses run out.
