Backstage Note On The Decision To Make RAW Women’s Title Match The Main Event Of Wrestlemania 35

WWE confirmed on Monday that the RAW Women’s Championship match will be main eventing Wrestlemania 35. It will be Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch.

This will mark the first time that Women have main-evented Wrestlemania in the history of the event.

We have some backstage notes to pass your way about WWE’s decision.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, putting the RAW Women’s Title match on last is being viewed as a big victory backstage. It turns out that it wasn’t an easy decision for the company to make though.

Johnson says that WWE was going back and forth between the RAW Women’s Title match and Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins closing the show. The decision apparently went down to the wire, with them finally deciding to go with the RAW Women’s Title match.
