The Undertaker made headlines over the past few days after it was announced that he will be at the Starrcast II event. This fueled some rumors because Starrcast is connected to All Elite Wrestling and their ‘Double Or Nothing’ PPV.
We have some updates to pass your way on the Undertaker’s current status with WWE.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, The Undertaker now has the ability to take outside (WWE) signings and appearances. The Deadman will be doing Starrcast and more events as he can charge top dollar for the appearances.
Johnson confirms that the Undertaker is still associated with WWE and has not left the company. Starrcast is just one of several public events that he will be doing in the upcoming months.
We also have the latest to pass your way on his in-ring status. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the Undertaker is not scheduled for Wrestlemania 35 or the next WWE Saudi Arabia show in May. Here is a quote from Meltzer (via Ringside News):
“At least as of a week ago he was not doing either [WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia] and obviously [WWE] can panic and the Saudi Arabia show if the Prince wants him they can offer him so much money to do it, but as of a week ago he was not on either show.
This has caused some speculation that the Undertaker could be retired as a wrestler. We will have to wait and see what happens though.
