Ariya Daivari was a part of a controversial segment at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. He and his brother Shawn Daivari confronted the newly signed athletes from Saudi Arabia. The Daivari Brothers came to the ring waving Iran’s flag and insulted the recruits. This garnered a massive reaction from the crowd in attendance.
It appears as if some people took serious offense to the segment. Ariya took to Twitter to apologize for the controversial segment. He also revealed that he has been receiving death threats.

This event certainly wasn’t without controversy. Saudi Arabia’s General Sport Authority apologized for showing ads that featured Women in them during the event. You can read the apology translation here.
