We noted a few days ago that the kickoff show for Summerslam was only advertised to be one-hour this year.
This was going to be a big change since Summerslam, Wrestlemania, Survivor Series, and the Royal Rumble have had 2-hour kickoff shows for the past few years.
We have an update for you.
The WWE Network is now listing the Summerslam kickoff show as being 2 hours long. It will be starting at 5:00 PM (EST). The main card will be starting at 7:00 PM.
As a result, it looks like someone made a mistake with some of the previous promotional work for the event. That mistake has now been corrected and the show is being listed as starting at 5.
As of writing this, there have been no matches confirmed for the kickoff show. We will let you know if that changes.
