We decided to put together a list of matches for AJ Styles that we think could happen at Wrestlemania 35.
8) AJ Styles vs Andrade Almas
This one might be a bit of a long-shot. Almas is pretty new to the WWE main roster and I am not sure if they would consider putting him in this spot for his first Wrestlemania match.
Putting that aside, I would really, really enjoy a match between these two. The heel-face dynamic works and they are both incredible workers. No doubt in my mind that they would tear down the house if they were given the chance.
I am not holding my breath, but Almas vs Styles would be incredible.
7) AJ Styles vs Finn Balor
AJ Styles vs Finn Balor happened at the 2017 edition of TLC. Styles filled in as the emergency replacement after Bray Wyatt was pulled from the event due to the viral infection that hit the locker room.
The match between Styles and Balor was good but it left me wanting more. It left me wanting a match between them after a legitimate storyline build for a few months. This storyline build could involve Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson where Balor and Styles fight for leadership of ‘the Club’.
This would likely require Balor to win the 2019 Royal Rumble match. I would be happy with it.
6) AJ Styles vs the Undertaker
WWE has a built-in tagline for this match: The ‘Phenomenal One’ vs the ‘Phenom’. Could it happen at Wrestlemania 35?
The Undertaker is obviously at the tail end of his career. Still, it would be pretty cool to see him put over AJ Styles at Wrestlemania before he hangs up the boots. AJ Styles is also that good of a worker that he can pick up the slack for the Deadman in the ring.
There are other matches that most fans would prefer for Styles but this one could be fun.
