News broke after Wrestlemania 35 that AJ Styles suffered an injury during his match against Randy Orton. This injury seemed to be confirmed after Styles did not end up appearing on Smackdown Live.
We have an injury update to pass your way on Styles.
The injury update comes from Styles himself. He revealed what he is dealing with while streaming PUBG on his Mixer account.
According to Styles, he sprained his SI joint during his match against Orton. This came during the top rope suplex spot that happened.
The good news is that Styles says that it isn’t too severe. Here are some quotes (via Pro Wrestling Sheet):
“Nothing too severe. I just need the muscles to ease up and treat a sprain like a sprain. Hopefully, it doesn’t take too long to heal.
“I got x-rays and they were all positive, I didn’t break anything. So, as far as that looks, I should be good to go here soon.”
It is great to hear that it isn’t too severe. We will let you know if we hear how long that Styles will be out for.
