Additional Rumor About Roman Reigns’ Decision To Pull Out Of Wrestlemania 36

The major news broke on Thursday night that Roman Reigns had pulled out of Wrestlemania 36. This is because he is concerned about wrestling during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an additional tidbit about why Reigns pulled himself from the show.

According to Meltzer, Roman’s decision had to do in some form with The Miz being sick but still trying to work the recent tapings. This is something that apparently upset The Usos and was a contributing factor in Reigns pulling out. Details are scarce at the moment but here is a quote from Meltzer:

Roman Reigns made the call himself. It was interesting because he was there and made the call. It had to do in some form with Miz being sick & The Usos not being happy about it. And I don’t really know much else. That’s really all I was told. It’s a weird story because if you followed it, just basic logic was that he should have stayed home.

UPDATE: Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now confirmed that The Miz has been officially pulled from Wrestlemania 36:

Multiple source have confirmed that WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion The Miz did not work Wrestlemania 36.  Miz was in Orlando this week, but did not work the tapings.

It should also be noted that there were reports that WWE was medically screening wrestlers before they entered the WWE Performance Center. Jerry Lawler noted on his podcast that they took his temperature to make sure he didn’t have a fever but that was it.
