A Major AJ Styles Streak Was Snapped At Survivor Series

Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles last week on Smackdown Live to win the WWE Championship. Not only did Bryan take the Championship from Styles, but he also took his match against Brock Lesnar.

AJ Styles did not end up appearing at all during the Survivor Series PPV.

With AJ not wrestling at Survivor Series, an incredible streak has now been snapped.

Cageside Seats has been tracking who has been wrestling at the most consecutive PPV events on the WWE roster. The rules were that a Superstar had to wrestle on the main card of a PPV (pre-show matches don’t count). Brand-exclusive PPV events were not counted against your streak. Also, Evolution and the events in Saudi Arabia were not counted against you if you were not allowed to compete.

Prior to Survivor Series, the streak was that Styles had wrestled at 34 straight PPV events that he has been eligible for. To put that into perspective, the person in second place is Seth Rollins, who currently sits at 18 straight events.

This has been snapped now that AJ missed Survivor Series. Still though, it goes to show you how durable that Styles has been for WWE since he came into the company 3 years ago. It also shows you how much WWE values Styles to put him on the main card of every PPV for the past few years.

According to a report, Styles is currently negotiating a new contract with WWE. You can read some of the details here.
