Rumor Roundup: Possible Change Coming To NXT 2.0, Wrestlemania 38 Ticket Sales, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Jeff Hardy’s WWE Contract

Jeff Hardy was recently interviewed by BT Sport. During this, he revealed that he has just under two more years left on his current WWE contract.

Here is what he said (via Fightful.com):

“That was the deal when I re-signed. I was like, ‘I’ll sign for two years as long as I get my old theme back called ‘No More Words.” We came to find that they owned the song so there was no reason I couldn’t. My first night in front of a live audience, I got it back and it’s just like it never left. It was so powerful. I think [WWE] realized, ‘Yeah, that was a good decision.'”

My Take:

  • I have always been a big fan of Jeff. I hope that we get to see some more great stuff from him and they don’t bury him on the lower card.

4) Backstage Note On Wrestlemania 38 Tickets

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Wrestlemania 38 tickets are not selling as quickly as WWE expected them to.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

“Mania tickets, I don’t have a number but you could tell from the push really hard and everything like that [that they are] far far far far far from a sellout. I didn’t expect it would be this quick. The first time they went to AT&T Stadium, it actually didn’t sell out until a week out and that was for one show…I know that the number was lower than they expected. It’s funny because when I talked with them a couple of weeks ago, [they said] because we’re gonna do two shows, we’re gonna make it pricewise easier. And they did not do that and that may have been a mistake. I mean the price is really high, high enough to scare people away. There is a certain thing that you can charge more money for WrestleMania than any other show but there is a limit on everything as far as how much you can charge.”

My Take:

  • Interested to check back on this in a few weeks. Maybe prices are just too high or maybe interest is low. We will have to wait and see.
