Rumor Roundup: Backstage Details On Andrade’s Release Request, WM 37 Attendance, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Some Members Of The WWE Writing Team Are Upset

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some members of the WWE writing team are upset. This is because the company hired a bunch of new writers after being told there is no money for raises, bonuses, or promotions.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

What we do know is many of the writers were upset because the company had told them (like people in every position) that there was no money for raises, promotions or bonuses, and then they brought in somebody new. They did get $3,000 worth of stock, but the stock needs to vest before they can sell it.

My Take:

  • I am sure if you needed the money to feed your family, the $3,000 worth of stock isn’t great for you. While saying that, it could end up being extremely valuable if the company grows post-pandemic. This is one of those things that some people will love and some people will hate.

4) Update On The Planned Attendance Of Wrestlemania 37

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping to have 45,000 fans for Wrestlemania 37 (each night).

This is higher than their original goal of 30,000 fans per night:

A few months ago the hope was to put 30,000 in the stadium but based on a meeting this past week it looks like the goal now is 45,000 each night.

My Take:

  • I feel like that might be pushing it based on everything going on in the world. We will have to wait and see I guess.
