Rumor Roundup: Why Braun Isn’t In The Elimination Chamber Match, Another WWE Celebrity? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) New Clause In WWE Employee Contracts

According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline, WWE employees now have clauses in their contracts where they aren’t allowed to discuss inside stuff about the company (after they are fired). If they break this clause, they risk getting sued.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

“The guys now have to sign clauses where they can be sued if they talk about inside stuff after they leave their positions.”

My Take:

  • I am surprised that WWE didn’t put this into place earlier.

4) Matt Riddle’s WWE Future

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has provided an update on the future of Matt Riddle. Despite contrary reports, Sapp has confirmed that Riddle has signed a new contract with WWE.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

Fightful reported recently that WWE wanted Matt Riddle to sign his new contract before the calendar turned over to 2021, and were actually able to get him to do so. However, reports emerged recently claiming that Riddle had not yet signed that deal. Not only did Fightful confirm again that Riddle has signed and submitted his new contract, but that it actually replaces the one that he’d signed in the summer of 2018. Instead of that simply being an extension tacked on to his original expiration this summer, it’s an entirely new contract that has him signed with WWE through the end of 2023. The deal was signed just before the last week of December.

My Take:

  • Good to see that this has been figured out.
