Rumor Roundup: Scrapped Gimmick Change For Lars Sullivan, The Presentation Of Wrestlemania 37, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Presentation Of Wrestlemania 37

According to @Wrestlevotes, WWE was originally against the idea of using cardboard cutouts in the crowd for Wrestlemania 37. WWE has now changed their mind after watching the Super Bowl.

Here is what the account Tweeted:

My Take:

  • I thought that the cutouts looked great at the Super Bowl. Seems like a good way to make the stadium look more full than it actually is.

4) Scrapped Feud Due To Steve Cutler’s Release

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE was originally planning a 6-man tag team match: Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Murphy against King Corbin, Wesley Blake, and Steve Cutler. These plans were scrapped after Cutler was released by WWE.

Here is what Meltzer said (via WrestlingNews.co):

“He’s [Cutler] out, he’s now a free agent. He [Murphy] isn’t being used because there is no spot for him. They booked him into this thing with Aalyah and now they haven’t figured out how get out of it. It was gonna be Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Murphy against Corbin, Wesley Blake, and Steve Cutler. Well, you take Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler out then there’s no spot for Murphy unless you wanna make these Dominik Mysterio matches 3 on 1 instead of 2 on 1. They decided to go with the 2 on 1.”

My Take:

  • I feel bad for Murphy and Wesley Blake. I wonder if WWE will put them back together as a tag team?
